Taught in church… hhmmm…I saw a rather provocative image on Facebook today, and it was hardly ignorable.
Allow me to share it with you. And, as I do…if you were raised as a christian and taught in church, like we were, please pay attention to how it makes you feel.
Ready? Prepare yourself… because it is going to speak about what we were taught in church, and not in a favorable light.
You probably won’t like how it’s going to make you feel.
Likely, you will greatly dislike what it says to you.
It will probably be an outright affront to the very fabric of your being, if you were taught in church what you would grow up to believe, like we were.
How does this make you feel? Does it make you feel Uncomfortable??! Is it OFFENSIVE to you….
Well, these teachings are pretty much what I was taught in church, by pastors and teachers who studied in seminary. And, I think my christian training experience was not atypical.
How about you? Is this what you were taught in church?
Well, we have to honestly address what others are saying when they say we are being deceived. We have to look at whether or not it is true that we are being deceived.
Which of us would allow our teenagers to tell us this statement, and be absolutely fine with it: “I don’t have to follow your rules…. I’m under GRACE, not rules.”
See number 6 on the Webster’s definition of grace, by the way:
According to the HalleluYah Scriptures restored name translation, Shauwl (the real name of ‘Paul’) said:
And, John said:
When we search out the origin of the word ‘CHURCH,’ we find that the word was ordered by King James, and this word is a form of a pagan feminine deity’s name…. a pagan deity with a cup in her hand, and she makes the people to drink what is in the cup.
I’ll share just one video. There are others. And, I’ll warn you: Prepare yourself.
… Of course… If you don’t want to know the truth, you might as well save yourself the trouble.
…. But, who is called that does not want to study, and in deed, is commanded to study to show ourselves approved?
YaHuWShu’A also said:
And then I shall declare to them, “I never knew you, depart from Me, YOU WHO WORK LAWLESSNESS.”
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, AND DOES THEM, shall be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
And everyone who hears these words of Mine, AND DOES NOT DO THEM, shall be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. – Matthew 7:23, 24, 26
YaHuWaH, the Father, the Creator, and the ELoHiYM of the Hebrew people who were called out of Egypt, said:
“All the Words I am commanding you, guard to do it – do not add to it nor take away from it. When there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer or dreams, and he shall give you a sign or a wonder…. saying, ‘let us go after other mighty ones – which you have not known – and serve them,’ do not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer of dreams, for YaHuWaH your ELoHiYM is trying you to know whether you love YaHuWaH your ELoHiYM with all your heart and with all your being. Walk after YaHuWaH your ELoHiYM and revere Him, and guard His commands and obey His voice, and serve Him and cling to Him.” – Deuteronomy 12:32, 13:1-4
Our ancestors were taken captive and dispersed thousands of years ago. They left the land of YaShaRAeL… Yet most of us (their descendants) haven’t a clue as to who we really are. And, most of us are still rebellious!!
Ephrayim mixes himself among the peoples, Ephraim has become a cake unturned…
They have transgressed My Covenant, and they have rebelled against My ToWRaH…
YaShaRAeL has rejected what is pleasant. An enemy pursues him. – Hosea 7:8, 8:1,3
Let me share some additional scriptures with you that were not very present in my first 45 years of life. These are very excellent scriptures. Meditate on these.
From the book of James:
1:22 And become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror,
24 for he looks at himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what he was like.
25 But he that looked into the perfect Torah, that of freedom,a and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing of the Torah.
26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is worthless.
27 Clean and undefiled religion before the Elohim and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
From Romans 2:
13For not the hearers of the Torah are righteous in the sight of Elohim, but the doers of the lawa shall be declared right.
14For when gentiles, who do not have the Torah, by nature do what is in the Torah, although not having the Torah, they are a Torah to themselves,
15who show the work of the Torah written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or even excusing,
16in the day when Elohim shall judge the secrets of men through יהושע (YaHuWShu’A) Messiah, according to my pleasant News.
From Revelation 12, verse 17:
Is this what we were taught in church? Exodus 15:26:
The Messiah defended Himself against the adversary three times with scriptures from Deuteronomy. Was Deuteronomy what WE were taught in church to use to stand against the enemy?
James 2:14-20
14My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him.
15And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food,
16but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it?
17So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead.
18But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works.
19You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder!
20But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead?
21Was not Aḇraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yitsḥaq his son on the altar?
22Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected?
23And the Scripture was filled which says, “Aḇraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And he was called, “Elohim’s friend.”
24You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone.
25In the same way, was not Raḥaḇ the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.
From Revelation 22:
From Hebrew 5… Is this what we were taught in church?:
9And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting deliverance to all those obeying Him,
10having been designated by Elohim a High Priest “according to the order of Malkitseḏeq,”
11concerning whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
12For indeed, although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first elements of the Words of Elohim. And you have become such as need milk and not solid food.
13For everyone partaking of milk is inexperienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
14But solid food is for the mature whose senses have been trained by practice to discern both beautiful/worthy and evil.
This is not what we were taught in church… Revelation 14:12:
If you need to find your way back to the Father, if you want Him, rather than an enemy, pursuing you, we would like to help you learn to pursue the Father, and to serve Him, in spirit AND in TRUTH.
